First Quarter Report !!!!

And just like that the first four weeks of the season are in the books. We in the fantasy football industry have a trick to being successful and that is break the 16 week season into four quarters. You take the season quarter by quarter and the key is to have a winning record in each quarter and over the long run that will translate into a pretty successful season. The first quarter of the Elite Fantasy Football League wrapped up last night with many games being decided by the outcome of the Monday Night Football action. At the end of each four week quarter I will be breaking down which teams were the best and which were the worst in each quarter. I will include the power rankings and chances of making the playoffs based on our systems projections. Also I will include the current standings and where our teams are positioned at this point in the season. Lets start by taking a look at which team came in as the best team of the first Quarter.


Harry Ballsackies (4-0)

This new team on the block has exploded onto the scene on their way to the best record in the league. They easily were the best of this quarter as they rolled to a 4-0 start, moving to a 3-0 division record, and racking up two top three weekly scores during the first four weeks. They also racked up the most victory points with 14. The Ballsackies defeated Beavers Love Wood ( 2-2 ), Cocoa Nuts (3-1 ), Lick My Antonio Brown-Eye (1-3 ), and The Annexation of Puerto Rico (3-1) during this quarter. They will look to keep the momentum going as they have second quarter meetings with Richard Feltersnatch (1-3), My Ditka Got your Gurley Off (1-3), The Dirty Sanchez Butt-Fumblers (1-3), and second meeting with the Beavers Love Wood (2-2). These four matchups hand the Ballsackies the easiest second quarter schedule on paper. Currently the Ballsackies are second in the power rankings for the remainder of the season. The Ballsackies chances of making the playoffs is currently 98%.


The Annexation of Puerto Rico (3-1)

The second place team in the North division is The Annexation of Puerto Rico who rolled to a 3-1 overall record, and a 2-1 divisional record. They AOPR is tied for second with 10 victory points. They only were in the top 3 weekly scoring only one time during this quarter. The AOPR faced of against My Ditka got Your Gurley Off (1-3), Beavers Love Wood (2-2), The Dirty Sanchez (1-3), and Harry Ballsackies (4-0). The AOPR is tied for the fifth toughest schedule coming up in second quarter where they will meet Cocoa Nuts (3-1), Little Italy (3-1), SlamHogs (1-3), and second meeting with My Ditka (1-3). Currently the AOPR sits at sixth in our rest of season power rankings with a 82% chance of making playoffs currently.


Cocoa Nuts (3-1)

The Defending champ is the third place team in the North division rolling to a 3-1 overall record, and a 1-1 divisional record. Cocoa Nuts have accumulated 9 victory points, which is the fourth highest. Cocoa Nuts found themselves in the top three weekly scoring half the time during this quarter. During this first quarter the champ met the Lick my Antonio Brown-Eye (1-3), Harry Ballsackies (4-0), SlamHogs (1-3), and My Ditka Got your Gurley Off (1-3). The second quarter projects the champ tied with the third easiest schedule when they take on The Annexation (3-1), Beavers Love Wood (2-2), Richard Feltersnatch (1-3), and Dirty Sanchez (1-3). The champ currently sits at third in our rest of season power ranking projections. Cocoa Nuts has a 96% chance of making it back into the post season.


Beavers Love Wood (2-2)

Coming in fourth in the tough North division is new comer Beaver Love Wood and their 2-2 overall record, and 0-2 divisional record. The Beaver is fifth in victory points with 8 accumulated. The Beavers also have rolled to two top three weekly scoring finishes during this time frame. The Beavers took on Harry Ballsackies (4-0), The Annexation (3-1), Little Italy (3-1), and the SlamHogs (1-3) during this first quarter. This was the toughest start to the season of any of our teams and the second quarter has them tied for the 3rd toughest second quarter schedule as they take on My Ditka (1-3), Cocoa Nuts (3-1), Brown-Eye (1-3), and Harry Ballsackies (4-0). The Beaver currently sits at four in our rest of season power rankings with a 84% chance of making the playoffs in their first season.


My Ditka Got Your Gurley Off (1-3)

My Ditka looked to come out of the gate firing after winning the draft and having the projected best team heading into week one. However, after the first quarter My Ditka finds themselves last in the North division with a 1-3 overall record, and 0-2 divisional record. My Ditka also has the lowest victory point total with -3. During this time frame My Ditka took on The Annexation (3-1), Dirty Sanchez (1-3), Richard Feltersnatch (1-3), and Cocoa Nuts (3-1). My Ditka found themselves in the bottom three weekly scoring three out of the four weeks during this quarter. Things will not get any easier for My Ditka as they face the projected toughest second quarter schedule on paper as they meet The Beavers (2-2), Harry Ballsackies (4-0), Little Italy (3-1), and The Annexation (3-1). My Ditka currently sits at ninth in our rest of season power rankings. My drooping Ditka currently hold a grim 17% chance of making the post season.


Little Italy (3-1)

Little Italy comes out of the first quarter sitting alone a top the South division with an overall record of 3-1 and 3-0 divisional record. Little Italy is tied for second in victory points with 10. Little Italy got off to their hot start facing off against The Dirty Sanchez Butt-Fumblers (1-3), SlamHogs (1-3), Beavers Love Wood (2-2), and Richard Feltersnatch (1-3). Italy finished in the top three weekly points a quarter high three out of four times. They will look to keep marching towards a second straight post season berth as they stare the second easiest projected second quarter schedule in the face. Italy will take on the Brown-Eye (1-3), The Annexation (3-1), My Ditka (1-3), and a second meeting with the SlamHogs (1-3). Currently Little Italy sits at first in rest of season power rankings with a 99% chance of making the playoffs.


The Dirty Sanchez Butt-Fumblers (1-3)

Dirty Sanchez sits in second in the South Division with an overall record of 1-3 and a 0-2 divisional record. Dirty sits with the sixth most victory points with 2. During this opening quarter Sanchez faced off against Little Italy (3-1), My Ditka (1-3), The Annexation (3-1), and The Brown-Eye (1-3). Dirty only finished in the top three weekly points one time during the quarter. Moving forward they are looking at the third toughest schedule during the next quarter as they take on the SlamHogs (1-3), Richard Feltersnatch (1-3), Harry Ballsackies (4-0), and Cocoa Nuts (3-1). Dirty currently sits at seventh in our rest of season power rankings with a 32% chance of making the post season for second year.


Richard Feltersnatch (1-3)

Feltersnatch find themselves in third place in the South division with a 1-3 overall record and 1-2 divisional record. Richard sits in seventh in victory points with 1. During the first quarter Feltersnatch didn't record a top three weekly point total as they met The SlamHogs (1-3), The Brown-Eye (1-3), My Ditka (1-3), and Little Italy (3-1). Moving forward Feltersnatch will also face the third toughest second quarter schedule as they take on Harry Ballsackies (4-0), Dirty Sanchez (1-3), Cocoa Nuts (3-1), and a second meeting with The Brown-Eye (1-3). Richard currently sits in tenth in our rest of season power rankings with a slim 13% chance of making the playoffs.


SlamHogs (1-3)

Last years third place team has not started the season they wanted to as they currently sit at 4th in the South standings with an overall record of 1-3 and divisional record of 1-1. The Slamhogs find themselves with the third lowest victory points, -1. The SlamHogs finished in the bottom three of weekly scoring two out of four first quarter games. The Hogs met Feltersnatch (1-3), Little Italy (3-1), Cocoa Nuts (3-1), and Beavers Love Wood (2-2) though the first quarter. The second quarter has the Hogs facing the fifth easiest schedule as they meet Dirty Sanchez (1-3), Brown-Eye (1-3), The Annexation (3-1), and a rematch with rival Little Italy (3-1). Currently our system has the Hogs projected fifth in rest of season power rankings with a 34% chance of making post season.


Lick My Antonio Brown-Eye (1-3)

The team riding the longest losing streak in league history finds themselves at the bottom of the South standings with a overall record of 1-3 and divisional record of 1-1. The Brown-Eye has the second lowest victory point total with -2 through four weeks. During this time the Brown-Eye finished in the bottom three of weekly points three times and top three scoring one time as they took on Coco Nuts (3-1), Feltersnatch (1-3), Harry Ballsackies (4-0), and Dirty Sanchez (1-3). Th Brown-Eye started the year with three straight losses bring streak to 13 however, in week four finally snapped it with a dominating win over the Sanchez. Things are looking up for the Brow-Eye as they are looking at the third easiest second quarter schedule as they take on Little Italy (3-1), SlamHogs (1-3), The Beavers (2-2), and A second meeting with Richard Feltersnatch (1-3). Currently our system has the Brown-Eye projected eighth in our rest of season power rankings with a 44% chance of making the playoffs, which is the sixth best odds.
