Kraft Not Involved
New England Patriots Robert Kraft has stated that he will not make any decision when it comes to the future of quarterback Tom Brady. Kraft has stated that he will step back and leave the decision up to head/ GM Bill Belichick. The word coming out of New England yesterday is that there is an air of uncertainty. We have gone on record several times over the last month while covering this story stating we feel Brady will indeed not only return to New England for 2020, but with a reloaded set of skilled players, whether it be Austin Hooper, Eric Ebron at tight end, or Emmanuel Sanders, or Breshad Perriman at the wide receiver position.
Kamara Wasn't 100
The Saints star running back has stated he was playing 2019 only at 75%, as well as only on one leg. This makes sense as his play and numbers looked and were underwhelming for where the fantasy community was drafting him last fall. Kamara claims he is now fully healthy and back to being 100%. Kamara will no doubt be a first round pick this fall in many drafts going right around the sixth pick.
Anderson Staying in NY?
Free agent wide out Robby Anderson stated yesterday in an interview that he and the Jets have mutual interest in reaching a long term deal to keep him in the Big Apple. Anderson stated he loves the team, his team mates, and quarterback Sam Darnold. Anderson also would go on to say that despite the love for the Jets he is opened to playing anywhere in the league. Robby Anderson would be wise to test the market as this years free agent class at the position isn't very star strong. Besides Amari Cooper and Aj Green I would say Anderson is the next best option at the position. A lot of teams will be hesitant to throw big money at the position in March because of what is coming in April, and that is an historic wide receiver draft class. We would like to note keep an eye on a certain team from the South with a new coach as a sneaky landing spot for Anderson. Which team you ask? The Carolina Panthers even though we think they are going to be in tank mode this season. New head coach Matt Rhule was Andersons head coach at Temple so there is a connection there.
No Mahomes Deal
Patrick Mahomes is not going to do a deal early just because the Chiefs want too, Albert Breer reports. Mahomes is going to wait for the new CBA to be implemented as well as the NFL to sign its new TV deals. Stay calm Chief Kingdom Mahomes will be taken care of and likely will be the highest paid player in the history of the league, which means he is a Chief for a very long time.
